Pack member Alison S, asked if we might talk with the western gray whales who live along the coasts of Russia, China and Japan.
Highly endangered, there may be only around 100 individuals left. Their cousins, the eastern gray whales who live off the coast of California and calve inside the Gulf of California, are doing much better since they have been protected.
