"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened."
Anatole France
The Rose Council invited me to ask them to speak with us this Wednesday, May 1st.
Roses have been dear to me from my childhood in New Jersey. My grandmother grew them in our yard, and treasured them since our family had been professionally growing roses since the 1870's! The Noe Pierson roses won countless competitions and shipped their roses on SIX foot stems to Queen Victoria! (Fun fact: New Jersey was called the "Garden State" in large part because of the thriving rose industry.)
The Rose has represented the Divine Mother in Persia, Greece, Rome and in Christianity.
What does the Rose Council want to share with us? I, for one, am immensely curious.
