"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened."
Anatole France
Happy May! Let's jump right in...
This week, the Kangaroo Council is joining us.
One of our Earth's most unusual creatures, kangaroos and their smaller cousins, the wallabies, are native to Australia and New Guinea. Although their ancestors were tree dwellers (and there still is a small tree-dwelling kangaroo), Kangaroos and wallabies are herbivores who live on land.
The largest living marsupials, kangaroos have a long history with humans, both indigenous and new comers.
Did you know that they have something in common with elephants and manatees?
What special message do they wish to share with us? Join us and find out.
