"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened."
Anatole France
Happy June! This week we'll have the pleasure of hearing from the Orangutan Council.
Orangutans, "old people for the forest" in Javanese, live most of their lives in the trees. They are highly intelligent problem solvers and deep thinkers. Their forest homes in Borneo and Sumatra are under grave threat. It is so important to hear what they wish to teach us about this moment on Earth.
Since I've moved to Vermont, I'd like us to start a half hour earlier if that works for everyone. Please note the new time. See you tomorrow!
