This week, the Oxen Council approached me to be in our sacred circle.
Oxen have been help-mates to humans for thousands of years. Strong dependable, slow and steady, these beings have helped humans in countless ways.
Oxen are not just castrated steer. Sometimes they are intact bulls, trained as youngsters. Sometimes they are female. What has most often defined their service is that they work in pairs. An oxen team is an even number of pairs or partners.
